THE TEACHER

WHO WILL LEADS IN VITA DA YOGI

Chaitanya Mayi

Chaitanya Mayi has studied and practiced yoga for 18 years, teaching for 15 years and is a Senior Yoga Teacher recognized by Yoga Alliance Professionals UK. She graduated in 2000 as a dancer at The School for New Dance Development of Amsterdam and in 2005 as a yoga teacher. She is currently attending a degree course in Eastern Studies at the University La Sapienza of Rome.

In the field of Yoga, he has participated in various courses and seminars in Brazil, India and Europe, learning different methods such as Iyengar Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Power Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Integral Yoga, Sivananda Yoga and Chakra Yoga with teachers like Anodea Judith, Christopher Hareesh Wallis, Katia Dacosta, Kalidas Nuyken, Anderson Allegro, Matthew Wolmer, Gabriele Severini, Paola of Monaco, Manju Pattabhi Jois and David Swenson. Desiring to deepen her knowledge in holistic health she has studied Ayurveda, Reiki and Thai massage in Thailand and deepened the knowledge of the subtle energy body and the chakra system with Anodea Judith and Christopher Wallis. She founded, directed and taught at the Atma Yoga Center for seven years, a place dedicated to the practice of various styles of yoga atthe heart of Brazil, her native country. In 2013 she moved to Rome, after living for 3 years in a Vaisnava ashram in India where she practiced Bhakti yoga according to Vedic principles, under the guidance of her Spiritual Master Srila B.S. Govinda Maharaj. In Rome, he founded the Atma Yoga Rome together with the italian naturopath and martial artist Dhananjaya Das in order to continue the research on wellness and self-development, which combines the practical and spiritual knowledge of India with that of Taoism and Chinese Medicine .
